Starting Point calibration settings for alternative papers, using Ilford Filters except where indicated.
Choose your paper from the list below, and enter the figures in the table for offset (exposure compensation) and contrast. These figures are to be regarded only as starting points and for best results the calibration procedure should be carried out, as actual values will depend on the characteristics of your enlarger, your working methods and materials. However if you use these starting figures it’s likely that only fine tuning will be required. (The figures for Ilford Multigrade IV RC are the factory standard and are listed here only for reference purposes.)
